I keep telling our customers about your (Air Head) system. We now have been using it for 8 years. We are doing the Baja HaHa this year. I’ll make sure to let all the cruisers about AirHeadToilet.

Thank you for designing such a great product. Airhead is the first boat toilet we have had that didn’t have any odour! My wife loves it. We no longer dump our maceratored sewage into the Georgia Strait, so that feels good as well. We will sing your praises to all we meet…

The airhead composting toilet is a fantastic toilet for van life. It’s the best composting toilet on the market.

In our previous rig we installed the Nature's Head toilet, used it for 2 years and loved it for the most part. For us, the biggest issue was emptying the urine bucket every 2 days. When we sold that rig and bought our current truck camper, we weren't sure the Nature's Head would fit in the tight space so upon researching other options found the Air Head. The Tejo model was not yet on their website but after talking with Techs from Air Head, we were told about this option and thought it was perfect for our needs. We had to make a couple mods to get it installed, (shortening the crank handle and venting mods) but my husband's 'MacGyver skills' did the trick. What we love: NO urine bucket - game changer!; like the actual 'toilet seat'; no 'sliding' off the top portion of the toilet seat. It simply lifts straight up. A 'sliding' top would not have fit in our space. Our biggest challenge was the 'flange cap' or piece that sets into the flange on the floor did not seal tightly so we were getting a horrible urine smell in our rig. We talked about siliconing it in place, but we wanted to be able to remove it and clean it periodically so decided to go with good old duct tape and taped it down. This solved the urine odor problem, is not visible to the naked eye and can be easily removed for cleaning. The only other minor issue we're having is that the urine seems to drain slowly from the bowl into the tube. We've been on the road for 2 months now so it may simply need a good cleaning. Overall, we are extremely pleased with the Air Head Tejo! Also, the Techs at Air Head were great as we made many phone calls back and forth to determine if it would fit in our rig, how it would fit and to answer our many additional questions. They were very responsive to all of our calls/questions. This will be our RV toilet going forward, no matter what rig we end up in. It's one of the best mods we've made to date!
We switched to the Air Head from a portable toilet, and it has made our camping experience so much better. With the regular portable toilet, we could get a couple of days at best before it turned into a disgusting experience and emptying it wasn't pleasant either. The Air Head just doesn't stink. The urine bottle can get a little funky but it's not bad. It could use a sight window a little lower or a tall oval shape so you could have a bit more warning before it fills up as it gets a little tricky to get it out when it's full without spilling it. Two of us can use it over a week before needing to empty the composter and it just isn't bad to deal with. I might add that we have a very small camper, and it just doesn't smell. It's been quite pleasant to use. I would almost put one in my house.
After a few years of hesitation, i bought a air head for my sail boat and really like it so i bought one for my shop.... and bought a new sailboat so... i had to bought a third one for the new boat.
Simple to instal, as simple to use !!
The design is genius and the build is solid. SERIOUSLY consider how you'll vent the air and urine before you buy any composting toilet though, especially one without a urine tank. My installation was a dream thanks to existing head layout. 38' sailboat, used a dorade vent and shower/AC bilge. It looks professionally installed.
The service at this company is top notch. They went back and forth with me for about a month. Awesome people
Easy installation, I did my own modifications on the fan hose connection to the toilet 10x better than directions, in lue of the little rubber piece you’re supposed to glue (which doesn’t hold) I put the hose pipe through toilet bowl and
found a 1 1/4” plastic sink drain pipe to fit inside to expand the rubber hose in the toilet cut the 1 1/4 pipe flush and used hose clamp, bulletproof. Toilet works great
I finished the install this weekend with the exeption of the vent hose. The boat is on a lake and not used much during the winter so will see how it goes this spring and summer.
Great toilet. We are building floating houses and will continue to use them in every house.
THIS IS THE BEST TOILET IVE EVER USED, WILL NEVER GO BACK TO A FLUSH TOILET, THIS TOILET IS WORTH EVERY DIME........
Hello everyone,
I installed the Tejo model on the 40ft trawler that I live aboard full time, and I love it! Its design is very much like a traditional household toilet that it is way more comfortable than a typical marine head. It is so nice to not have to deal with monitoring the level of the holding tank, and paying for pump outs!
Great job to the folks at Airhead, and thank you for making this product.
I tip my hat to you all.
Peace
We have been very Happy with the AirHead toilet. Since we parked our 5th wheel on some friends property in Fort Collins CO. and it was not possible to connect with their septic system this gave us the option to stay parked here for over a month or two. We have been using the toilet for over 3weeks. We have not emptied out the **** bucket as of yet since we can still easily turn the handle. The pee bucket must be emptied daily to keep it from getting too full. The only negative is the box that the toilet was shipped in was extremely flimsy. fortunately there was no damage or missing parts. I would suggest that you ship these $1,200 toilets in a better way to better represent your product.
We ordered one for our second head after having so many issues with our Jabsco manual toilet.
So far - loving it! Huge upgrade in comfort compared to the tiny Jabsco!
simplicity plus function, we like it, ordering another
